New Physiotherapy Pathway Posted or Updated on 15 Dec 2025

We’re excited to announce a new MSK physiotherapy self-referral service on the 1st October 2025, enabling patients to access physiotherapy directly for musculoskeletal issues following a GP or First Contact Practitioner (FCP) appointment. 

This aims to reduce GP workload, speed up patient care and promote patient self empowerment. Please note, Orthopaedic Triage referrals remain separate and should continue through the usual channels for specialist assessment. 

For those patients who are unable to access digitally or for Under 16 years of age, please continue to refer via the usual pathway.
